TeacherConnect is an online service provided by the Irish National Teachers' Organisation (INTO) for (i) principals to post vacancies for substitute teachers only (ii) unemployed qualified teachers to post profiles and search for and evaluate job opportunities and (iii) the advertisement of Temporary Reassignment and Job Sharer opportunities. Your use of the TeacherConnect website is subject to the Terms and Conditions set out below. Use of this website constitutes your acceptance of these Terms. Users who violate these Terms may have their use of TeacherConnect suspended or terminated, at INTO's discretion. All use by you of TeacherConnect is at your own risk.
The following Terms of Use constitute an agreement between you and TeacherConnect and are deemed accepted by you each time that you use or access the TeacherConnect website.
You are authorised, subject to these Terms of Use, to access, download and print content on this website solely for your own, and not commercial, use. You assume complete responsibility for, and all risk of loss resulting from your downloading and/or use of content downloaded from this website.
You may not use any of the TeacherConnect content on any other website or in any other database.

All information, documentation or other materials submitted or posted on TeacherConnect is the sole responsibility of the person from which such content originated. TeacherConnect reserves the right to refuse to accept, post, display or transmit any user content at its sole discretion.
TeacherConnect does not represent or guarantee the accuracy or reliability of user content.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your information and password. You may not share your password or account, access information with any other party, temporarily or permanently, and you shall be responsible for all uses of your registration whether or not authorised by you. You agree to immediately notify TeacherConnect of any unauthorised use of your registration or password.
If you no longer wish to use the TeacherConnect facility, please log in to your account and, under "Edit my Profile", choose "Deactivate my Account". This will result in your details no longer appearing to other users on TeacherConnect and your details being removed from the TeacherConnect mailing list. Your account may be reactivated if you wish to use the service in the future. To reactivate your account please login to TeacherConnect and reactivate your account in your profile area.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TeacherConnect, its affiliates, and their respective officers, employees and agents, from and against any claims, actions or demands, including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, alleging or resulting from (i) any User Content or other material you provide to this TeacherConnect Site, (ii) your use of any TeacherConnect Content, or (iii) your breach of these Terms.
INTO and TeacherConnect provide an email and text messaging service solely for the use of principals contacting substitute teachers with regard to teacher vacancies in primary schools. This service allows principals to automatically text or email teachers with details of vacancies. It also allows principals to contact successful and unsuccessful applicants with details regarding filling of positions.
In addition to our standard Terms and Conditions, principals using the text and email services provided by INTO and TeacherConnect should read and agree to the following Terms of Use.
By using the TeacherConnect service, you agree that you have read, understand, and accept the terms and conditions below for all use of TeacherConnect email and text services. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, do not subscribe.
You may not use the TeacherConnect facility to email or text any material that may be unlawful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, infringing on any copyright or other rights of others, or damaging to software or hardware.
INTO and TeacherConnect accept no responsibility or liability for information or actions arising from unlawful use of this communication service. You are legally responsible, and solely responsible, for any email or text sent through this service.
You may not use this service to participate in any fraudulent activities, including impersonating any person or entity.
You may not invade another person’s privacy, collect or store personal data about other users, or stalk or harass another person or entity.
The TeacherConnect Services may not be used to send unsolicited, bulk or commercial messages or for any other unsolicited communications. This includes, without limitation, using automatic dialling and announcing devices to or otherwise make unsolicited voice or facsimile calls and bulk mailing of commercial advertising, informational announcements, charity requests, petitions for signatures and political or religious messages.
You may not post, communicate or otherwise distribute any material that may be unlawful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, infringing on any copyright or other rights of others, or damaging to software or hardware.
The Services may not be used to send messages to any individual who has indicated that he/she does not wish to receive messages from you.
The propagation of chain letters is similarly prohibited, whether or not the recipient wishes to receive such mailings.
Although INTO and TeacherConnect have no obligation to monitor the content provided by you or your use of the Services, they may do so and may remove any such content or prohibit any use of the Services INTO and TeacherConnect believe may be (or is alleged to be) in violation of the foregoing.
You understand that e-mails that are sent through the TeacherConnect Service may generate abuse complaints from recipients. As a matter of privacy, INTO and TeacherConnect do not have to share with you the e-mail addresses or phone numbers of those who complain.
As set out above, you are responsible for any misuse of the Services, by you or by any other person with access to the Services through your equipment or your account. Therefore, you must take steps to ensure that others do not gain unauthorised access to the Services through any means, including, without limitation, wireless networking and wired networking. The Services may not be used to breach the security of another user or to attempt to gain access to any other person’s equipment, software or data, without the knowledge and consent of such person. Additionally, the Services may not be used in any attempt to circumvent the user authentication or security of any host, network, or account.
INTO and TeacherConnect do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error free, nor do they make any warranty as to the results that may be obtained from use of the service. You acknowledge and agree that not all messages sent via TeacherConnect service will be received by their intended recipients.
In no event shall INTO, its employees or agents, or anyone else who has been involved in the creation, production or delivery of these pages be liable for any direct, incidental or consequential damages, such as, but not limited to, loss of anticipated profits, benefits, use, or data resulting from the use of these pages.
You hereby agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless INTO and TeacherConnect and their employees, distributors and agents against any damages, losses, liabilities, settlements, and expenses (including without limitation costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees) in connection with any claim or action that (i) arises from any alleged breach of this Agreement, (ii) arises from the content or effects of any messages you distribute using the Products or (iii) otherwise arises from or relates to your use of the service. In addition, you acknowledge and agree that INTO and TeacherConnect have the right to seek damages when you use the service for unlawful purposes, in an unlawful manner, and/or in a manner inconsistent with the terms of this Agreement.
TeacherConnect is committed to processing all personal information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) (2016/679) (herein GDPR), Irish Data Protection Laws and any other relevant data protection laws and codes of conduct (herein collectively referred to as ‘the data protection laws’).

Deactivated substitute TeacherConnect accounts are deleted in August of each year.
Any TeacherConnect account can be self-deleted in the user profile area. Additionally, any TeacherConnect account data can be downloaded by the user in the user profile area.
Expiry on TeacherConnect Active Adverts
All adverts published will either expire 6 weeks from the date of publication, or you will have the option to extend that time by logging into your TeacherConnect account and managing your advert.During the six-week lifetime, the User can extend the expiry date by up to a maximum of three weeks from the day they log in by editing their advert. There is no limit on the number of extensions.
INTO and TeacherConnect reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Your continued use of the service following the posting of any changes to the Terms of Use constitutes your full acceptance of those changes. INTO and TeacherConnect may, at their sole discretion, terminate or suspend the access to the Services or any portion thereof of any user for any reason.

No changes to these Terms shall be made except by a revised posting on this page. TeacherConnect may revise these Terms at any time by posting updated information on this website. Logos used on the site are protected by copyright and you may not copy or use these logos without permission from INTO.
